What type of content will ASIS Europe feature?
The core event content focuses on relating security and risk topics to business/organisational impacts and the business objectives/ROI of investments in security programmes.
Sessions should be presented in a manner that appeals to – and challenges – established and aspiring security leaders who, on a daily basis, deal with a complex mix of physical security, cybersecurity, and business management/leadership issues.
Corporate case studies from the internal security team’s perspective, new information/research and novel approaches/perspectives are favoured.
Key trends and issues of particular interest are described below – for insights on why these themes were chosen, read our interview with the conference co-chairs.
Securing your organisation during the AI adoption phase
Strategic considerations:
- How does the adoption of AI for company strategy and core operations impact the security function?
- How can security leaders be effective business partners for corporate leadership in assessing and rolling out transformative technologies?
Operational considerations:
- Innovation or optimisation opportunities for the security function (especially case-studies from the inhouse security team perspective)
- Compliance challenges or concerns when adopting AI technologies
Fragmentation and shifting dynamics of the international order
- How is the risk landscape changing and how does this influence the focus, structure, and expectations on security teams?

What session formats are available?
Submissions are welcome for four different session formats. There are two types of presentation & discussion format and two types of interactive workshop format.
Submitters should select the format which best suits their speaker profile and which will address the topic selected in the most valuable and engaging way for the audience.
Case-Study Clinics
Explanation, analysis and lessons learned from either a security/crisis incident OR the launch of a new initiative to improve the security team’s performance.

Format:
20-25-minute presentation + Q&A/discussion (45 Minutes total). ASIS can support speakers who wish to include interactive elements like live polling during sessions.
Speaker Profile:
Must be an inhouse security practitioner (CSO, Security/Risk/Crisis Manager), from the organisation who faced the incident or was involved in the initiative. Game Changers
Illustrate and explain an evolving risk, emerging trend or new methodology which will have significant business and/or security risk impacts in the next 1 to 3 years.

Speaker Profile:
Must be a subject matter expert who can present appropriate research, analysis or other evidence of the “game changing” nature of the issue, and be able to address questions from/facilitate dialogue with the audience
Slots available:
5-6 sessions
Interactive Workshop/Debate – Cross Functional Collaboration
Collaborative learning on a challenge where there are competing priorities with non-security colleagues (e.g. Safety, Finance, Privacy, HR, IT, Operations, Logistics, Communications etc.)

Format:
90-minute workshop with small roundtable discussion and/or group exercises e.g. scenarios to work through. May include scene-setting presentation(s) during the workshop but presentation time should be maximum 30mins across the session. ASIS’ experienced event staff will provide dedicated support to facilitators to help structure and deliver workshops in the most engaging way for participants.
Facilitator/Speaker Profile:
Must have direct experience of the challenge and be able to frame the issues for effective peer to peer dialogue. It is recommended that 2 or 3 co-facilitators/speakers work together to present different perspectives and engage the audience throughout the 90-minute session. Including a facilitator/speaker who is a non-security professional relevant to the topic is strongly recommended.

Collaborative learning on a complex security challenge from which participants can benefit from “crowdsourced” insights – sharing perspectives, potential consequences, and mitigation techniques.

Guidelines
- Submission deadline is 4 November 2025.
- Proposals must be in English.
- Proposals should describe original work that has not been presented at another event before.
- All proposals must be non-sales and non-marketing orientated.
Content and speaker profile(s) must be appropriate for the session format selected. Speakers will be expected to work with the ASIS Europe organising team and the appointed moderator / chair of their session (if applicable) before and during the event to ensure relevance and interactivity with the audience.
Selection Process
- Candidates acknowledge there will be a high degree of competition for the limited number of speaking slots available and therefore in addition to the merits of each submission, ASIS will need to carefully consider submissions in context of the overall programme requirements, in particular the diversity of topics and speaker profiles
- Based on the submission deadline of 4 November, ASIS will endeavour to select and inform speakers by 4 December.
- Given the ongoing uncertainty in the global geopolitical and economic outlook, ASIS reserves the right to:
- Keep speaking slots unallocated after the Selection Process to allow for late-breaking topics to be included
- Invite/allocate speakers to sessions based on specific experience, insights or other reasons at the discretion of ASIS
- Ask confirmed speakers to change or adapt their presentations to improve the relevance of the topic to delegates at the time of the event
- Change and/or replace speakers, topics or formats in order to deliver the best learning experience for delegates
Terms & Conditions
- ASIS International does not pay per diem, honoraria, or expenses.
- ASIS International grants a one-day registration for the conference (All access for the day, including Welcome Party and Networking Dinner). If multiple speakers submitted an abstract together, a one-day pass is granted to up to two speakers (for 45-min sessions) or up to three speakers (for 90-minute workshops) if they submitted the abstract together. Speakers added after the abstract selection are not provided with a complimentary one-day registration and need to pay for their participation. An upgrade from a complimentary speaker one-day pass to the full event registration is possible at 530 EUR + VAT.
- Speakers cannot be added after submission except with written approval by ASIS.
- The presenter agrees to allow ASIS International to record audio and video footage, and/or transcribe the presentation. In granting permission, you (and your co-speakers) agree to share copyrights with ASIS International and give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty free, non-transferable right to copy, reproduce, and distribute all or parts of the presentation in a multimedia format in perpetuity. In granting permission, you are not relinquishing your copyright to this material. All rights to publish your presentation in any other fashion and to publish related works are retained by the authors.
