The conflict in Ukraine has highlighted the importance of the petroleum industry in powering Europe, especially with increasing threats from state actors. Numerous drone sightings near offshore sites in autumn 2022 pressured authorities to deploy military personnel around oil facilities. These drone sightings, likely part of Russian hybrid warfare, posed challenges for both operators and authorities in maintaining situational awareness.

Based on both the speakers research and experience (thesis and peer reviewed article), this session will provide actionable insights for industry professionals on enhancing their resilience.

The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games presented an unprecedented security challenge, demanding meticulous planning and coordination among numerous public and private entities.
The preparatory phase involved comprehensive risk analysis, covering scenarios from on-site intrusions to CBRN attacks, and development of detailed security plans. Specialized training programs were implemented to ensure effective incident response. Close public-private collaboration established a robust security network.

The operational phase began on 24 June 2024, with infrastructure installation and deployment of over 20,000 private security guards.
Throughout the event, security teams efficiently managed various incidents, testing real-time collaboration.
