The ASIS Europe event has seen significant growth over the past years and with that growth has come an increase in the number of events hosted in the same city to capitalise on the presence of ASIS Europe participants.
ASIS International welcomes this development as it increases opportunities for professionals to gather and exchange in different configurations and would like to help amplify such initiatives.
At the same time, ASIS has a duty to its attendees, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors to ensure that such events remain complementary, do not cause confusion, and do not detract from the official event due to overlapping timings.
For this reason, we are launching this “In Conjunction With” (ICW) Policy for ASIS Europe. This policy is similar to the one employed for ASIS’s Global Security Exchange (GSX).
Approved ICW events may – if desired – be featured in the official ASIS Europe 2027 schedule or on the event website – increasing your event’s visibility and encouraging greater attendee participation. Approved ICW events may use the “ASIS Europe 2027 Official ICW Event” logo in their communications.
What is an “In Conjunction With” (ICW) Event?
An ICW event is any approved gathering that runs parallel to ASIS Europe 2027. These events that are not part of the official event program, offer a unique opportunity to bring together industry peers for specialized discussions, working group meetings, or social networking events. Please note that all ICW events must receive prior approval from ASIS to ensure alignment with the overall conference schedule and attendee experience.
What is Expected?
ICW events cannot be held at the same day or time as events that are part of the official ASIS Europe 2027 event agenda. The following time slots will likely available for ICW events (tbc soon):
- 2 March: all day
- 3 March: before 18:00 or after 19:30
- 4 March: before 8.30 or between 18:00 and 19:30
- 5 March: before 8.45 or after 16.15
- 6 March: all day
Please ensure your ICW event only takes place during these designated time slots to avoid conflicts with official programming.
ICW event attendees should require their attendees to abide by the ASIS Europe Code of Conduct.
Additionally, ICW events should be open exclusively to registered participants of ASIS Europe 2027 (ASIS Europe 2027 event badge holders).
Liability
ICW events are not organised, endorsed, or managed by ASIS International, and ASIS does not accept any liability for these events. The hosting organisation is fully responsible for all aspects of their ICW event, including costs, logistics, content, liability, insurance, and compliance with local regulations.
Who can host an ICW event?
The following groups can apply for ICW status for their side event:
- Official ASIS components such as Chapters, Regions, Communities, Working Groups…
- ASIS Europe 2027 partner organisations
- ASIS Europe 2027 Sponsors or Exhibitors
To maintain the integrity and high standards of ASIS Europe 2027, organisations not directly affiliated with ASIS, such as those not exhibiting or partnering directly with the event, will not be considered as an ICW event and will not receive visibility or mention within official ASIS channels. Only official ASIS groups and affiliated organisations will be considered for inclusion in the conference schedule.
What if my organisation doesn’t qualify?
If you don’t think you qualify, contact [email protected] with an outline of your organisation and event idea so we can assess. Representatives of organisations that do not abide by this rule may have their access to ASIS Europe 2027 revoked without refund.
