Director of Delivery, Iqarus
William Sudell, Director of Delivery for Iqarus, has a wealth of experience as an operations and delivery director complemented by clinical qualifications as a paramedic. Over his 24-year career, he has managed medical and clinical operations, specifically in conflict and post-conflict zones across the international landscape, spanning regions such as Eastern Europe, SE Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. His portfolio includes diverse countries like Afghanistan, Mali, Somalia, Central African Republic, Iraq, Kosovo, Albania, Libya, Kenya, Ukraine, DRC, Niger, Nigeria, Mauritania, Haiti, and Benin, among others.

William's background in the South African military has resulted in extensive military medical experience including managing clinical operations including remote site clinic setup, medical facilities infrastructure setup and commissioning, medical assistance, high profile VIP Medical Support and rotary and fixed-wing evacuation services.
As Director of Delivery, William oversees all Iqarus Operations, ensuring the successful implementation of deliverables, contractual compliance, and performance requirements in remote, conflict, and post-conflict areas globally. Leading the Crisis Response Team (CRT), he provides oversight for CRT components supporting remote sites and operations across various countries. His direct involvement extends to field hospitals and remote site clinics, where he guides performance, operational setup, infrastructure design, medical inputs, patient care pathways, and evacuation requirements for any project or operation.

In his capacity, William manages the Iqarus Operations Support Centre, Business Delivery Unit, and Project Coordination Team based in the UAE, driving the oversight of operations in the countries where Iqarus operates. Additionally, he leads the Biomedical Engineering Team Business Unit, offering BMET-integrated medical equipment and calibration support to all Iqarus and International SOS projects and sites. Furthermore, William is responsible for setting up emergency operations centres and crisis response teams across multiple sites and projects.
