Mike Howard, Chief Security Officer for Microsoft, holds global responsibility for physical security including; operations, investigations, crisis management, executive protection, technology, intelligence, and communications.
Mike led development of Microsoft’s Global Security Operations Centers, which oversee monitoring and response, which became a leading industry model. He is currently leading the transition to Virtual Security Operation Centers, leveraging cloud and mobility. Mike contributes through the following industry organizations: ASIS CSO Center Advisory Board, Past President; U.S. State Department Overseas Security Advisory Council; International Security Management Association, Past President; and the Security Industry Association, Board of Directors. Mike spent 22 years with the Central Intelligence Agency.
