Aurelien Lambert

Group Director of Physical Security and Safety, AXA Group
Aurélien Lambert is the Group Physical Security and Safety director, leading the protection of 170.000 personnel of the AXA Group, as well as all assets and operations in more than 60 countries.

After serving in the French military, he transitioned to the private security sector. He started working as a consultant, operating particularly in crisis contexts and sensitive situation in all regions of the world (such as political crisis in West Africa, the Haiti earthquake, the “Arab Spring”, etc.). Bernhard Maier

CEO, ŠKODA AUTO a.s.
Bernhard Maier is a qualified car mechanic and a graduate in business administration. He initially worked as a Key Account Manager at Nixdorf Computer AG and then as a member of the management team at Wallhäuser Anlagen Gesellschaft.

Between 1988 and 2001, he held various executive positions at BMW AG in Germany and abroad, before joining Porsche in 2001 and taking over as CEO of Porsche Deutschland GmbH.

In March 2010, he took part in the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, shortly before being appointed to the Executive Board for the Sales and Marketing division of Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche AG.

Since November 2015, Bernhard Maier has been CEO of ŠKODA AUTO a.s. and is driving the company’s reorientation under Strategy 2025. In addition to electromobility and digitalisation, key aspects of the Strategy include new mobility services and connectivity, implementing a large-scale product campaign and the brand’s internationalisation. For example, ŠKODA has assumed responsibility for the Indian market and the Russian region on behalf of the Volkswagen Group.

Under his leadership, ŠKODA has also introduced new, important models such as the KODIAQ, KAROQ, KAMIQ and SCALA. At the same time, ŠKODA is launching electromobility this year with the first two iV models. The DigiLab in Prague began developing new mobility solutions in October 2016; there are now offshoots in Tel Aviv and Beijing forging strong links with the local start-up communities.

With over 1.25 million vehicles delivered, 2018 was the most successful year in the company’s history.

Brian Harrell

Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Security, Department of Homeland Security
Brian Harrell was appointed by the President of the United States in December 2018 to serve as the Department of Homeland Security’s sixth Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Protection. Brian now serves as the first Assistant Director for Infrastructure Security within the newly renamed Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

Brian is the former Managing Director of Enterprise Security at the Duke Energy Corporation. He is also the former Director of the Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (E-ISAC) and Director of Critical Infrastructure Protection Programs at the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), where he was charged with helping protect North America's electric grid from physical and cyber attacks.

Brian has spent time during his career in the US Marine Corps and various private sector agencies with the goal of protecting the United States from security threats.

Brian Allen has over 20 years of strategic experience in the security field, notable as a former Chief Security Officer for a major critical infrastructure organization. He has worked with Global Fortune 100’s to transform tactical security programs into holistic enterprise security risk management practices.

Brian is the former Chief Security Officer for Time Warner Cable located in New York, NY. He worked at Time Warner Cable from 2002 until 2016. In his role as CSO, Brian was responsible for the global protection of Time Warner Cable’s assets, coordinated the company’s crisis management and business continuity management program, including the coordination with federal and state emergency management organizations. Brian managed TWC’cybersecurity policy and governance for the company. He led the security risk management program, which included the company’s Law Enforcement Response Center, the customer facing Enterprise Risk Operation Center, had oversight of all internal/external investigations and headed up the company’s workplace violence program.

Currently Brian is an author of two books on Enterprise Security Risk Management and an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut, teaching security risk within the MBA program. Brian served on several national security policy organizations, including the Executive Committee of the U.S. Communications Sector Coordinating Council. He was appointed by the Chairman to the FCC's Communication Security Reliability and Interoperability Council and is the Co-Chair of Cybersecurity Best Practices Working Group addressing the implementation of the Executive Order's Cybersecurity Framework across the communications sector.

Prior to Time Warner Cable, he lobbied for an intellectual property trade organization and is experienced in government policy, testifying before a variety of Federal and State legislative, judicial and executive proceedings.

Dr. Ir. David Lecompte is a professor at the Royal Military Academy in Brussels and head of the Military & Protective Engineering Research Unit. He lectures on structural engineering and the effects of explosions on structures and his research activities mainly lie in the fields of blast effect mitigation, combined blast and fragment impact, explosive breaching and small scale explosive testing.

Between 2012 and 2015 he was in charge of the scientific research program management in the domains of Military Mobility, Systems & Protection at the Department of Scientific and Technological research at the Royal Higher Institute for Defence. In 2016 he took part in the European Union Mission to Provide Advice and Assistance for Security Sector Reform in the Democratic Republic of Congo, during a 10-month period as counselor to the Head of Military Instruction of the Congolese armed Forces.

He is the Belgian representative in the International Physical Security Forum and a permanent member of the European Research Network on Critical Infrastructure Protection. Eduard J. Emde, CPP, is with the European Space Agency at the European Space Research and Technology Centre in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. In the year 2012 he was the first non U.S. President of ASIS International.

Eduard Emde has more than 25-years’ experience in security and security risk management. Previously, he served as Corporate Security Capability and Development Manager for Shell. Mr. Emde was Manager Consultancy Services with Interseco (now Pinkerton) in The Hague. He’s also served as a security consultant with KPMG's Forensic & Integrity Services and as vice president, group security with ABN AMRO Bank.

Eduard Emde has served on the boards of various associations in the field of risk management and security, including the Dutch Society for Risk Management and OSAC Netherlands. A member of ASIS International since 1990, he has served on the Board of Directors 2006-2013, as Regional Vice President in Europe and as board member and Chair of the Benelux Chapter.
