ASIS International is following the ongoing investigations into the shooting incident on Monday 18 March in Utrecht, NL.
Our sympathies go out to the victims. We are in contact with our local event security provider and the venue, and continue to assess the situation. The safety of attendees is our top priority.
Based on current information, there is no impact on the plan for ASIS Europe 2019.
We will not provide further comment on this matter, unless there is a change to the event plans.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Please note:
ASIS 2019 delegates who have registered and paid will receive their TICKET by email containing a barcode. With this barcode, the delegates can print their badge onsite at one of the badge-printing kiosks in the registration area. The code can be scanned from your smartphone or tablet.

The Call for Presentations for ASIS Europe 2020 is now open. The deadline for submitting is Monday 23 September 2019.
Health & Safety
Latest update at 9 May 2022 – as the situation is fluid, we will revisit these rules regularly and update.
Czech Republic, like much of Europe, has removed official measures related to COVID for business events. However, we know that personal circumstances and preferences vary, so in the interests of everyone’s experience, please respect the following guidelines:
- Masks are optional, but feel free to wear a mask if you wish
- If you see a participant wearing a mask, please respect their choice and maintain social distance unless informed otherwise by that person
- When greeting, please start with a wave and/or an elbow bump – please check before initiating a handshake/hug/kiss!
- Hand sanitizer is available at numerous points around the venue
- Any person who is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, been diagnosed with COVID-19, or who has interacted with someone who has COVID-19 within 14 days prior to the event should stay home.

Scam alert
We have received several notifications from ASIS Europe 2019 exhibitors that were contacted by companies that claim to be selling the ASIS Europe 2019 attendee list. Please note that ASIS does not sell or share attendee lists with third parties.
Kindly also note that fraudulent calls from companies claiming to be the event housing partners have been reported – these are scam attempts. (TravelEra – https://trvera.com/ and Trade Show Planners tsplanners.com are known scammers.) You can find our list of suggested hotels below.
Unfortunately we see these kind of scams more and more and there is very little we can do to counter them except making you aware. If you are contacted with suspicious offerings such as the one above or companies claiming to be our official hotel agency, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected].

Sustainability
What did ASIS do to make the ASIS Europe Event 2023 more sustainable? The event location allowed a majority of attendees in Europe to travel by train and car. There were many hotels available at walking distance to ensure walking to the venue is possible. We selected event menus including as much as possible locally grown and seasonal ingredients and vegetarian and vegan options with less red meat. We also privileged local providers to cut emissions from transport and to support the local economy. We tried to use resources in a responsible way, for example no single-use plastics for catering, no conference bags and badges that can be recycled. We tried to reduce the use of materials that are difficult to recycle. Read more here.

Citizens from countries outside of the Schengen area might need a visa to enter Czech Republic. Check here if you need a visa.
Upon request, ASIS International will prepare a visa invitation letter for delegates whose registration fees were received in full. ASIS International will not prepare visa invitation letter for complimentary registration.

The Cool Down City Initiative
To make the City of Rotterdam more resilient in the context of climate change, Cool Down City encourages Rotterdammers to cool down their city themselves. By giving away free trees, collecting them, inspiring them, informing them about their own possibilities and connecting Rotterdam parties for more impact. With the ambition to triple the number of trees in Rotterdam.
The Cool Down City initiative achieves this ambition by realizing a public Rotterdam Tree Depot, organizing Free Trees Giveaway Events, attending events with the Babytrees Courier (Babybomen Koerier), organizing activities together with companies and governments and thereby increasing tree awareness.
FAQ
How can I pay for my registration?
Payments can be made online via credit card (Mastercard, Visa and AMEX credit cards are accepted) or by bank transfer. Please be aware that a registration is considered valid only once your payment has been received on the ASIS bank account. Cheques are not accepted.
How can I access my registration record?
Your registration record can be accessed via log-in after the submission of your registration. We will provide you with all information during registration.
Can I first register for the main conference and register at a later stage for an additional optional activity?
Yes, this is certainly possible, upon availability.
I’m registered but unable to attend. Can I get a refund of the registration fee?
A paid registrant can be replaced by a colleague provided that the organisers receive all information by email by 15 May 2022.
A refund of the onsite ticket fee will be granted for cancellation received by Saturday 30 April 2022 (3 weeks prior to onsite event), deducting a 75 EUR administrative fee.
No refund will be made for online passes.
I need an invitation letter for my visa application. How do I obtain one?
Before obtaining an invitation letter, all registration fees must be paid in full. Individuals can request their invitation letter by writing an email to [email protected] Please do request your visa letter in due time and allow up to 5 business days for the processing of your visa letter.
How can I receive my event badge?
With your electronic ticket and barcode, you will be able to print your event badge onsite at one of the badge-printing kiosks in the registration area at the Prague Congress Centre during the opening hours of the registration area. Badges are not sent in advance to delegates by post. Please note that in order to print a pre-paid ticket, the delegate needs to present a photo passport/ID. For group registrations, the badges can be printed in bulk at the dedicated group registration line.
