Markus Epner is a seasoned crisis and security manager with more than 20 years of experience in major industry roles, including at Lufthansa and Boehringer Ingelheim. He studied Security & Crisis Management at the Police Administrative College in Schleswig-Holstein (Kiel) and began his career as one of the first officers in the Kommando Spezialkräfte, with deployments in the Bosnia and Kosovo wars.

During his time in aviation, he managed the evacuation of two flight crews from Mumbai during the terror attacks and later led the crisis response during the COVID-19 pandemic within the pharmaceutical industry.

Since 2022, he serves as Head of Academy at F24 AG, where he is responsible for designing and delivering advanced crisis-management training and simulation programmes.

Markus is known for bringing real-world crisis experience into corporate training: his leadership emphasises experiential learning, digital simulation and cultivating resilience across teams.

Steven Kenny has spent 18 years in the security sector in roles that have seen him take responsibility for key elements of mission critical, high-profile projects across different vertical markets. For the past ten years Steven has focused his attentions on how security technologies can best support business security strategies, whilst elevating the importance of cybersecurity and compliance for physical security practitioners. Steven’s current role sees him lead a team of Architect and Engineering managers across EMEA whilst supporting various industry associations and standards organisations.

As a volunteer, Steven holds a role as a board director for ASIS International UK chapter. Steven currently sits on the EMEA Advisor Council as the emerging technology lead for TiNYg.

Glenn Schoen (1963) is an American-Dutch security and crisis management advisor and owner and CEO of Boardroom@Crisis BV, based in the Netherlands. He has over 35 years’ international experience including prior work for Ernst & Young, G4S Risk Advisory, TranSecur and International Security Management, as well as lecturing parttime for 10 years at Georgetown University’s Continuing Studies program. In the course of his career he has served over 500 consulting/training and 250 analysis service clients, including corporations, international organizations, associations, family offices and select governments. Volunteer security and crisis management position include work for ASIS, the UN’s UNICRI, OSAC, and the White House. He lectured for 10 years at Georgetown University’s Continuing Studies program and regularly performs paid speeches and free commentary for the media (1500+ interviews). This includes over 100 appearances on CNN across the past 32 years.

Magnus Hultman (b.1974) studied economics at Lund University. In addition to being founder and CEO of Instadia Sweden (acquired by Omniture), Hultman has worked as investor and head of sales at Videoplaza (acquired by Ooyala), founder and CEO of Smartclip Nordics (acquired by RTL), and most recently co-founder and CEO of Strossle International, Sweden’s second fastest growing company in 2018. Nominated as founder of the year in Sweden 2017. Magnus Hultman has been CEO of Safeture since August 2019.

Mykola Mikheiev serves on the ASIS Europe Board of Directors as Secretary/Treasurer and ex-chair of the ASIS Ukraine Chapter, leading security professionals through Europe's most challenging contemporary crisis since Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022. With over 25 years of progressive experience spanning governmental service, international posting, and high-threat corporate security, he brings unique practical expertise in organizational resilience, personnel verification, and crisis management. His governmental career includes cross-border crime investigations, legal extraditions, diplomatic protection leadership, deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, and Balkan states, where he managed security operations in an active combat environment. He held a number of positions with intergovernmental organizations in addition to the national security sector. In the private sector, Mikheiev protected personnel and commodities for the gas and oil industries and maritime security. His corporate security expertise includes legal investigations, due diligence, compliance, and risk management. On February 24, 2022, Mikheiev drew on his Kabul evacuation experience to lead his office's evacuation to western Ukraine before returning to continue security operations under wartime conditions. This practical crisis leadership directly informs his current guidance of security professionals managing organizational continuity, personnel security, and insider threat detection during active conflict. Mikheiev holds a Master of Arts in International Studies (King's College London), Juris Doctor (Ukraine), and a UK Military Academy degree. He is board-certified by ASIS as CPP®, PSP, PCI;by ACFE as CFE;by PMI as PMP;and by ISACA as CISM. He is licensed to practice law in Ukraine and certified in adult education by the UK BTEC Pearson. He was an ASIS Europe 2023, 2024, and GSX speaker as well as a pre-GSX CPP Review Program facilitator, where he has demonstrated commitment to advancing the security profession.

Mads Paerregaard is an experienced security risk management professional who after a career as an army o9icer worked as a Regional Security Advisor with the Danish Ministry of Foreign A9airs followed by senior security and c-suite level positions in the private sector.

Mads founded Human Risks in 2016 – a digital risk management platform that supports each step of the ESRM process. Mads is a graduate from the Royal Danish Military Academy and has an master´s degree in business administration from Henley Business School.

Mads is the chair of the ASIS ESRM Committee.

With over 20 years of Security Management in specialist senior roles with Lloyds Banking Group, Amazon, Tesla, and now Unilever, Letitia is a passionate advocate for Diversity & Inclusion.

Having been instrumental in setting up groups to support Women in Security in her roles and developing cultural and experienced teams that are geographically diverse and often working solo in remote places she brings many years of knowledge and experience to the management of her teams through engagement and motivation, something she feels is driven by diversity and servant leadership. Letitia is a select few women holding both ASIS PSP and CPP.

Sonia Neffati is Mastercard’s European Regional Security Officer, based in Waterloo, Belgium. She focuses on strengthening external cybersecurity partnerships, leading Central Bank resiliency efforts, and supporting the ECRC’s mission. Previously, Sonia served as Mastercard’s European Crisis Manager, overseeing some of the company’s most complex crisis responses. She brings deep expertise in business continuity, IT disaster recovery, and crisis management across the payments and financial sectors. Sonia holds a master’s degree in Marketing & International Business Negotiation and multiple certifications in business continuity and security. 

Erwin has been a dedicated volunteer leader within ASIS International and has been a member for over 6+ years. He served in various impactful roles within the association on a local and global level, including Young Professionals Board Member and Certification Programs Board Member at his local chapter (Benelux Chapter 214), on a global level he joined the NextGen Community (formerly known as Young Professionals) as Secretary, Vice-Chair and later became Chair of the NextGen Community. Currently he is the Community Vice President for the Crime Prevention and Investigations Communities in which he supports these communities to grow and reach their goals. 

Alongside his volunteer work, Erwin is a seasoned security professional with over half a decade of experience in the security field. He currently leads security operations across the BeNeLux region at SAP SE, overseeing complex challenges and driving strategic initiatives to effectively safeguard SAP's employees, facilities, assets, intellectual property, and corporate reputation.

As Team Lead of Global Business Development for Nedap, Jeroen develops, creates, and markets new concepts (tools and services) for the CSO. In this co-creation, he aids organisations in identifying, analysing, and communicating relevant business and security-related goals. Previously, he was the Director of Global Product Management and International Channel Management for BU Security Management at Nedap. In these leadership roles, Jeroen created a shared product vision at strategic and tactical levels. Jeroen holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and is CPP and PSP certified.

Stefanie is the Commercial Head at F24’s Business Unit GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance), bringing several years of experience in customer-facing roles since joining F24 in 2017. She gathered her expertise in Crisis Management under the mentorship of F24’s founder and as the lead at F24’s BeNeLux office.

With a background in Business Consulting for digital services within Fortune 500 companies, Stefanie is dedicated to driving organizational excellence and client satisfaction. Beyond her corporate endeavors, she serves as a board member at the NGO Women Cyber Force, championing increased female representation in the cyber and technology sectors.

Stefanie holds a Master of Science in Management from the European Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Paris-Lodron-University.

Seasoned professional, Raphael started his career in security back in 2004 and joined Mastercard early 2007.

During his 15+ career at Mastercard, he held several functions such as regional coordinator, contract manager and regional security systems project manager successfully managing numerous office relocations projects across the European Region. He also supported and managed the integration of Europay France, Travelex, DataCash and Vocalink on the physical security side of things.

Raph holds a Bachelor in modern languages he obtained in 2003. He is now Regional Security Officer for operations in the European Region and member of the Steering Committee of the OSAC Brussels Country Chapter.

Session: 1 year after: what have we learnt from Russia/Ukraine Crisis?

Shaun has over 27 years of experience in all aspects of security and crisis management since leaving the British Military (13 years’ service). He is currently Global Head of Security and Operations for the Corporate Mobility related services supported corporate clients globally for all aspects of travel risk management. Prior to joining AXA Partners, Shaun was the Head of Crisis and Security Management for a prominent risk consultancy company based in Singapore. During this time he supervised many crisis evacuations and implemented business continuity, crisis management and security and risk management plans and audits for many multinational corporations and high net worth individuals around the world.

Before moving to Asia, Shaun was based in London where he managed the Security & Risk department for Perot systems and was responsible for all European and Indian operations and the safety and security of over seven thousand staff. Shaun has worked as a security advisor to the Qatar Foreign/Prime Minister in Doha for a period of five years after a coup attempt to overthrow the ruling family. During this time he worked and liaised extensively with many foreign governments, military and police forces around the world.

While serving in the British military he specialised in counterterrorism in Northern Ireland, UK mainland, the Middle East and Asia. Shaun holds an MSc from Leicester University in Security & Risk Management. Shaun is also a member and Fellow with the FCiiCM.

Matt Ince is an Associate Director at Dragonfly, a geopolitical and security intelligence firm. Within this role, he guides strategic intelligence activities and is the managing editor of Strategic Outlook, Dragonfly’s flagship annual intelligence estimate on geostrategic risks. Matt is also an Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), the UK’s most recognised defence and security think tank. Prior to joining Dragonfly in January 2023, he spent almost a decade working within the UK's national security community, leading analysis on emerging global risks.

Session: Russia’s Hybrid War in Europe

Carl Walter is the Global Director - Homeland and Corporate Security Solutions at Esri. He joined Esri in 2010 bringing with him 20+ years of government experience in law enforcement and intelligence operations. He previously served as Director of the Boston Regional Intelligence Center and Director of the Bureau of Intelligence and Analysis for the Boston Police Department. Post 9/11, he established a regional intelligence capability operationalizing government and private sector resources for preventing and responding to terrorist threats, man-made hazards, natural disasters, and criminal activity. His role at Esri involves developing strategies that help integrate technology and operations to support the security needs of government agencies and Fortune 500 organizations world-wide.

Tracy Reinhold is CSO at Everbridge. He is responsible for advancing Everbridge’s enterprise-level security strategy, as well as working closely with customers and partners to optimise their organisational approach to managing and responding to critical events. Reinhold has served in executive leadership roles in security and incident management for some of the world’s largest organisations. He worked as a CSO at Fannie Mae, a leader in mortgage financing with more than $3 trillion in assets, and Walmart. Prior to his commercial roles in security, Reinhold served as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for twenty-two years.

Jason Dibley is the technical director of QCC Global Ltd, the largest global TSCM provider, serving large commercial and government entities with offices in the UK and Singapore. QCC also provides Physical Penetration Services, Digital Forensics, Accredited Training and produces specialist TSCM systems and products in use by government worldwide.

He has been active in countering espionage operations for the last 20 years and constantly evolves new procedures and solutions for emerging surveillance threats. Previously Jason spent 20 years as a covert surveillance engineer with New Scotland Yard working on many operations alongside numerous global security services and military units.

He is security cleared and is a founder member of the Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Institute (TSCMi) and an advisory board member of the ERiI (Espionage Research Institute International) both bodies of excellence within the TSCM industry.
